A Big Flood (A Folktale about the origins of the Ami tribe in Taiwan)

Suddenly, the sea swelled like a mountain. Kakumodan Sapatorok and his wife were caught by surprise. A flood is coming! They called out to their children, "Sura and Nakaw where are you? A big flood is coming! Come quickly. We must escape." But elder brother Sura and younger sister Nakaw were playing by the cereals hut and did not hear their father and mother. The huge flood came nearer and nearer.
